Port of Limassol Terminal Info & Guide

Where is Port of Limassol Terminal?

Limassol's ports are commonly referred to as "new" port and "old" port.

Limassol "New" Port is the principal seaport in Cyprus. The port is the largest and busiest harbour on the island, and most of the island’s cargo (importation and exportation) is handled here. Over 50 international cruise liners include Cyprus in their Mediterranean routes resulting in much of that passenger traffic.

What is today known as Limassol "Old" Port was the main port of Limassol, Cyprus until 1973. Since then, it has been used as a leisure, fishing and coast guard shelter. There are plans to transform the area into a leisure centre, called "Limassol Marina", and the Old Port had been officially closed during construction.

Work has begun on a new marina to the west of Limassol Castle, between the old and new ports.
