Gdansk Driving Stress Level: 5/10

From the Gdansk Airport:

  • To Gdansk city centre: head for the ring road, then you can either:

        • Go straight all the way down Slowackiego street to Gdansk Wrzeszcz, or

        • Make your way towards Pruszcz Gdanski and take the first exit to Kartuska St.

  • To Gdynia: head for the ring road, which will lead you directly to Gdynia
  • To Toruń, Łódź or Katowice: take the A1 motorway
  • To Warsaw and Kraków: take the S7 motorway

Three of Poland’s major highways are also accessible from Gdansk: E28 goes east, E75 goes north, and E77 goes west (to Warsaw). While highway road conditions are good, secondary roads in the region are generally not well maintained. Drive carefully, as the police are vigilant and fines are expensive.
