Jakarta Tour Ideas

This 4-day private tour is not only a multi-day tour, but a chance to understand human evolution. The orangutan is the great ape in Asia who only lives in Sumatra and Borneo. Orang means people and Utan means hutan or forest “people in the forest”. It is not odd to call them people because we share 97% DNA with Orangutans. You will visit 3 Orangutan feeding stations. Please note, no touching no talking, only breathing allowed.
You can also see another exotic animal like Proboscis monkey, known as Bekantan the endemic primate in Borneo. Silvered Langur, Red-leaf Monkey or Pig-tailed Money are exotic primates difficult to see. You may see different kinds of birds, crocodiles in the river banks, plants and blossoms. If you have a time to do night trekking you may see the smallest primate in the world, the Tarsier which has big eyes. This is a wildlife experience like no other.

Thought to be operational since before the 13th century; this is a fascinating location that preserves the history of Jakarta. Travel to the oldest China town area in Indonesia, Glodok, which was once located just outside the city walls before it was relocated. The area is characterized by winding lanes, slanting red tiled roofs, small dark shops and acts as a hub for the Chinese community. You will also get to visit the oldest Chinese temple in Jakarta, the Golden Wisdom Taoist temple called Jin De Yuan, which dates back to the 1650s.
