Where is Aalborg Airport?  

Aalborg's location by the Limfjord sound has made it an important harbour since the Middle Ages. The Port of Aalborg is the main import/export hub in Northern Denmark. Today, Aalborg is transitioning from an industrial town to a knowledge-based economy. 

Aalborg is home to the Utzon Centre, dedicated to the work of Danish architect Jørn Utzon (he designed the Sydney Opera House). While Utzon was born in Copenhagen, he grew up in Aalborg.

Aalborg Airport (IATA: AAL, ICAO: EKYT), also known as Nørresundby Airport, is located in Nørresundby, 6.5 kilometres (4.0 miles) northwest of Aalborg, in Aalborg Municipality, North Jutland, Denmark. The airport is shared with the military, and is also referred to as Aalborg Air Force Base.

Aalborg Airport serves about 1.4 million passengers a year, making it Denmark's 3rd busiest airport.
