CVG Cincinnati Airport Info & Guide

Cincinnati International Airport

Where is Cincinnati Airport?

Cincinnati International Airport (IATA: CVG, ICAO: KCVG), officially Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport, also referred to as Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport, Cincinnati International Airport, Greater Cincinnati Airport, Cincinnati Airport - or even Cincy Airport - is located in Hebron, unincorporated Boone County, Kentucky, United States and serves the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. The airport's code, CVG, comes from the nearest major city at the time of its opening, Covington, Kentucky.

In 2011, Cincinnati Airport served 7,034,263 passengers.

Cincinnati Airport is one of the easiest airports to navigate thanks to its modern design and lack of congestion. Usually, 20 to 30 minutes is more than enough time to connect between flights. In May 2012, CVG Airport opened a revitalized Concourse A, offering new amenities, and now housing all airlines in one terminal. The airport has begun work on runway enhancements costing USD 17.6 million, to be completed in 2013. For the second year in a row, in 2012 CVG Airport was been recognized as the Best Regional Airport in North America by SkyTrax, a London-based air transport research organization.
