GEG Spokane Airport Info & Guide

Spokane International Airport

Where is Spokane Airport?

Dubbed "The Inland Northwest", Spokane has a rather interesting downtown. Monroe Street Bridge, built in 1911 and recently restored, is the largest arch bridge in the USA. You can walk across the falls of the Spokane River here. Be sure to check out the bison skull motifs adorning the viewing platforms.

Nearby Riverfront Park was the site of the 1947 World's Fair. The park is beautifully maintained and most of the pavilions still exist. It was during the Fair here that the first Imax movie theatre debuted; a new version stands in the same spot.

Spokane International Airport (IATA: GEG, ICAO: KGEG) is located just west of downtown Spokane, in Spokane County, on the eastern side of Washington state, in the United States. Note that while some may refer to the airport as SIA, or SIA Airport, short for Spokane International Airport, this is NOT the offical airport code (the correct IATA code is GEG).

In 2011, Spokane Airport served 3,076,554 passengers, making it Washington state's 2nd busiest airport, after Seattle-Tacoma International Airport SEA). Spokane Airport serves eastern Washington, as well as northern Idaho, including the city of Coeur d'Alene.

Airlines serving Spokane Airport include Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and US Airways.

Destinations served from Spokane include Boise, Chicago, El Paso, Honolulu (starting February 2013), Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Oakland, Phonix, Portland (Oregon), Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle.

Your best bet for a Spokane Airport transfer is the bus. Details on all options are included in this guide.
