Jackson-Evers International Airport (IATA: JAN, ICAO: KJAN, FAA LID: JAN), officially Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport, Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers Airport or  Jackson-Medgar Evers Airport, formerly Jackson Municipal Airport, islocated in Pearl, Rankin County, just across the Pearl River, 9 kilometres (5.6 miles) east of downtown Jackson, Mississippi, United States. The airport is shared with the military. It is officially named after Medgar Evers, the former Mississippi Field Secretary for the NAACP.
