Where is Salzburg Airport?  

Salzburg Airport (IATA: SZG, ICAO: LOWS), officially Salzburg W. A. Mozart Airport, also referred to as Salzburg Mozart Airport, is located 3.1 kilometres (2.0 miles) west-southwest of central, Salzburg, Austria. Salzburg Airport is situated 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the Austrian-German border.

The airport is named in honour of after Salzburg-born composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The airport is a gateway to Austria's numerous vast ski areas, the largest network of linked ski resorts in Europe.

By trolleybus, line number 2 with service every 10 minutes, the airport is connected to Salzburg's public transport system. The main station is reachable in about 25 minutes and the inner city in about 30 minutes.
