Canary Islands Tipping Protocol, Canary Islands Gratuities, & Canary Islands Culture
Tipping (propina) is not customary in Spain, and it is not frequently done among natives. In bars and small restaurants, Spaniards leave as a tip the small change they receive in a plate after paying the bill. No tips are expected outside the restaurant business. Increasly tips are becoming expected in cabs, hairdressers, etc.
