Spanish Tipping Protocol, Spanish Gratuities, & Spanish Culture
|
|
Tipping (propina) is not customary in Spain, and it is not frequently done among natives. In bars and small restaurants, Spaniards leave as a tip the small change they receive in a plate after paying the bill. No tips are expected outside the restaurant business. Increasly tips are becoming expected in cabs, hairdressers, etc.
Our Spanish Tipping Recommendations |
- Taxis and Limos: Tipping recommended, Round up to next bill/large coin or 10%
- Airport Shuttles: Tipping optional, EUR 1
- Hotel Shuttles and Carpark Shuttles: Tipping optional, EUR 1
