ATL SkyTrain is a new, elevated train that connects Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport's passenger terminal to the rental car centre. Trains take travelers on a scenic, five-minute ride to the Rental Car Centre (RCC), where they sign rental agency contracts and pick up cars.

 

The ATL SkyTrain also connects the Airport to the Georgia International Convention Centre (GICC). Meeting and event attendees at the GICC have unprecedented access to the world’s busiest airport, the state’s second-largest convention centre and the state-of-the-art Rental Car Centre.

 

During the day, trains run about every  three minutes. During off-peak hours and overnight, the wait time should be no longer than 10 minutes.

MARTA Train travels to points all over the city from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. This service covers the metro Atlanta area (Fulton and Dekalb counties) with scheduled service to and from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.

 

MARTA trains run from 04:45 to 01:00 Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 01:00 on weekends. Trains arrive and depart from the airport every 15-20 minutes. In 20 minutes, a traveler can be downtown, where connections are available to other parts of the city.

 

MARTA fare gates are just a few feet from the baggage claim areas. Follow the signs, they are plentiful. The MARTA RideStore, located at the entrance to the Airport Station, is where you can purchase tokens and TransCards. The MARTA entrance is at the west end of the terminal, near other ground transportation services.When boarding the train, look for the luggage space at the endof each railcar.

 

Returning to the Airport?

 

MARTA's Airport Station - the final stop on the South Line - is only a 17-minute trip from Five Points Station, the hub of the MARTA rail system. All southbound trains go to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport and have plenty of luggage space available at the end of each railcar. Elevators, located in every rail station, provide additional convenience to travelers carrying multiple bags.
