Licensed Caracas Airport taxis provide reliable and safe transportation from the CCS Caracas International Airport to Caracas. Because of increased robberies and street-level crime in Venezuela, it is recommended that travellers hail only taxis with clearly visible numbers. Corporacion Anfitriones de Venezuela, an official taxi company, offers 24-hour service to and from the CCS Caracas International Airport. Caracas Airport taxi fares are either negotiated with the drivers or tickets can be purchased from the ticket windows on Level 2 of the international terminal. We recommending asking the price of the ticket inside first and then going outside and seeing if you can do better with a fixed fare to town.

 Pirate Caracas Airport Taxi Serivce

You may be approached by "taxi drivers" inside the Caracas Airport international terminal who offer you a ride to Caracas for less than the official fare, but this should be viewed with suspicion. Their taxis are usually not in the regular taxi line (so they are either unofficial taxis or pirate taxis), but are parked elsewhere. Some of these drivers are honest, but there may be some who mug you in the middle of nowhere.

IHateTaxis.com does not recommend the pirate Caracas Airport taxi service.

Caution on the safe side and avoid this option if approached.
