Grand Rapids is the home to the Gerald R. Ford Museum, the final resting place of the 38th President of the United States and former First Lady Betty Ford. The city is also home to five of the world's top office furniture companies, earning it the nickname "Furniture City".


Grand Rapids International Airport (IATA: GRR, ICAO: KGRR, FAA LID: GRR), officially Gerald R. Ford International Airport or Gerald R. Ford Airport, formerly Kent County Airport, also known as simply Grand Rapids Airport, is located southeast of Grand Rapids, in Cascade Township, Kent County, Michigan, United States. It is sometimes referred to as GFIA Airport, however this is not an official code. The airport is named for former resident and President Gerald R. Ford.


In 2012, Grand Rapids Airport served 2,134,956 passengers, making it the 2nd busiest airport in Michigan, behind Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW).
