Helsinki Vantaa Airport Train Details

A new Helsinki Airport train service opened in July 2015. An entrance connecting the train station to the airport terminal will be completed in fall 2015 (it's a short walk or shuttle bus ride for now). 

 

Helsinki Airport Train:


  • The Ring Rail trains run on a heart-shaped circular route, with HEL Airport at the top right of the heart, and Helsinki (Helsingfor) coty centre at the bottom (I-trains go east from the airport, and P-trains go west)
  • The train station is a short walk from your terminal  (350-metres from T1, 700-metres from T2), or take the free shuttle bus (every 5 minutes, 5 minute trip) - follow the signs
  • Trains run frequently, from early morning to midnight every 10 minutes 
  • Monday-Friday - 04:00-06:00 (every 20 minutes), 06:00-09:00 (15 minutes), 09:00-19:00 (10 minutes), 19:00-22:00 (15 minutes), 22:00-midnight (20 minutes)
  • Saturday - 05:00-07:00 (every 20 minutes), 07:00-09:00 (15 minutes), 09:00-16:00 (10 minutes), 16:00-21:00 (15 minutes), 21:00-midnight (20 minutes)
  • Sunday - 05:00-10:00 (every 20 minutes), 10:00-22:00 (15 minutes), 22:00-midnight (20 minutes)
  • Wheelchair accessible, easy access for strollers, luggage
  • Buy your ticket at machines on the platform (located at the far end of the station, where the terminal entrance will be, chip cards only), or onboard from the conductor in the ticket- sales compartment in the last car (credit, debit, cash)
