A La Paz Airport taxi is the easiest way to get around, but they are not metered, so agree on a fare before boarding.

Always take the Radio Taxis so that you know you are in an official taxi. Look for a yellow sticker on the taxi's windshield, and on the rear paasenger side window, that displays a number 4; this is the only way to be sure you are getting into a geniune registered taxi.

Pirate La Paz Airport Taxi Serivce

Gypsy taxis, considered dangerous, may have taxi painted on the side of the car, and even have the boarding on the roof. What will be missing, though, is the two yellow stickers (with the numeral 4 on them).

IHateTaxis.com has a mixed recommendation on the pirate La Paz Airport taxi service.

Gypsy taxis are not recommended.
