Nuremberg Airport

Where is Nuremberg Airport?

The city of Nuremberg is situated on the Pegnitz river and the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal in the German state of Bavaria, about 170 kilometres (110 miles) north of Munich.

Formed as a duchy in the 6th century, Bavaria was the 'unofficial capital' of the Roman Empire, and has been an independent kingdom, before becoming a state of Germany.
The Nuremberg trials held here between 1945 and 1946, at which time German officials involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity were brought before an international tribunal.

Nuremberg International Airport (IATA: NUE, ICAO: EDDN), or simply Nuremberg Airport, is located in the Franconian area, about 5 kilometres north of Nuremberg city centre, Bavaria, Germany.

In 2013, Nuremberg Airport served 3.3 million passengers, making it Germany's 10th biggest airport, and Barvaria's 2nd busiest, after Munich International Airport (MUC).

Airlines that serve Nuremberg Airport include Air Berlin, Air France, Bulgarian Air Charter, Eurowings, Germanwings, KLM, Lufthansa, Montenegro Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Ryanair, SunExpress, Swiss International Air Lines, TUIfly, Turkish Airlines, Vueling and Wizz Air.

Cities with flights to Nuremberg Airport include Alicante, Amsterdam, Antalya, Barcelona, Berlin, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Düsseldorf, Enfidha, Fuerteventura, Funchal, Gran Canaria, Hamburg, Ibiza, Istanbul, Izmir, Málaga, Malta, Palma de Mallorca, Paris, Rhodes, Split, Tenerife-South, Thessaloniki, Vienna and Zürich.
