Yangon Airport Public Bus Details

There is no direct Yangon Airport bus.

It is, however, possible to use a public bus if you don't have too much luggage and are willing to walk about 20 minutes. If you arrive on an international flight, exit the international terminal and turn right. Walk along the road for about 15 minutes until you reach Pyay Road. From here, you can take public bus 51 right into downtown Yangon, disembarking 1 block east of Sule Paya (MMK 300).

Returning to the airport, take bus 51 from the stop 1 block east of Sule Paya (MMK 300), get off at the "Mile 10" bus stop on Pyay Road at Airport Road, then either walk or take a cab for the remaining kilometre (MMK 1000-2000). Note: the bus stop sign for line 51 is written in Burmese.
