Local San Francisco Airport bus services are operated by SamTrans. SamTrans buses stop at the International Terminal at Level 1 in Courtyard A and curbside in Courtyard G next to the roadway. Terminal 2 on the lower/Arrivals level at the Centre Island. Terminal 3 at the curbside next to Courtyard 4.

San Francisco Airport bus route 292 to San Francisco and Hillsdale: this route runs daily 05:30-01:15 with buses running every 30 minutes during the day, to every hour in the evening. Travel time to and from the airport is around 1 hour. Fares for adults are USD 2, seniors USD 1.25 and youth USD 1. Children aged 4 and younger ride free with each fare paying adult or senior.

San Francisco Airport bus route KX to San Francisco and Palo Alto: weekday services run between 05:53-22:37 twice per hour until 20:23, then once per hour. On Saturday and Sunday, the service begins at 06:35 with 2 buses per hour until 19:36, then 1 per hour until 21:30. Bulky luggage cannot be carried on this service. Travel time is about 35 minutes. Fare for Adults is USD 5 to downtown San Francisco, or USD 2 locally, seniors USD 2.50/1.25, and youth USD 2.50/1.

San Francisco Airport bus route 297/397 night bus to San Francisco and Palo Alto: runs overnight on the route Palo Alto Caltrain station > Redwood City > San Carlos > San Mateo > Burlingame > Millbrae > San Francisco Airport > South San Francisco > Brisbane > Downtown San Francisco (Transbay Terminal). Buses leave the airport heading North towards San Francisco every morning at 01:56, 02:56 and 03:56. Buses leave the airport heading South towards Palo Alto every morning at 02:01, 03:01, 04:01 and 05:01. Fare for adults USD 2, seniors USD 1.25 and youth USD 1.
