Where is Qingdao Airport?  


Home of the world's longest sea bridge (the Qingdao Haiwan Bridge links urban Qingdao with the Huangdao district, straddling the Jiaozhou Bay), Qingdao is a major port, naval base and industrial centre. Yet, lying on the shore of Jiaozhou Bay, looking out to the Yellow Sea, Qingdao is considered one of China's most beautiful cities.


One of China's most livable cities, Qingdao is both orderly and relatively clean. Some have even called Qingdao City an up and coming wanna-be Singapore. This is not your typical Chinese city. In Qingdao, you can buy Bratwurst on the street (a favourite from long-ago German colonization), but you can't ride a bicycle (they are forbidden). All considered, Qingdao is an ideal destination if you want your trip to China to include a change of pace and some seaside fun.


Qingdao Liuting International Airport (IATA: TAO, ICAO: ZSQD), also known as Liuting Airport, Tsingtao Airport, or simply Qingdao Airport, is the main airport serving the city of Qingdao, in Shandong Province, in the People's Republic of China. 


In 2014, Qingdao Airport served 16,411,789 passengers, making it in the top 20 busiest airports in China.


The city's new Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport is under construction in Jiaodong, Jiaozhou, 39 kilometres (24 miles) from the central Qingdao. When complete, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport will replace Qingdao Liuting Airport as the city's main airport.


Airlines serving Qingdao Airport include Air China, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern (focus city), Japan Airlines, Korean Air and Shandong (focus city). 


Qingdao Airport serves destinations throughout China, as well as international destinations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei and Tokyo.
