Port of Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal by Bike

Cycling is a excellent alternative from the Port of Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. A bike lane exists from the ternminal into Ladner. Note that bikes are NOT permitted in the George Massey Tunnel, which connects highway 99 from Ladner into Richmond (and DO NOT think about cycling through the tunnel as you will likely be fined and or hit by a car going 120 km/h). To get through the tunnel, you have a few options: load your bike onto a public bus (if there is room, limit 2 bikes per bus) or alternatively use the free shuttle     at either end of the tunnel. Note that additional public buses depart from the Ladner exchange if you find that the 620 bus bike rack is full. You may also use the Alex Fraser Bridge to get into town, but this is about a 50km detour and not a very nice cycling route.
