West Vancouver Blue Bus Transit provides bus services to Horseshoe Bay. As the Blue Bus operates as part of  Greater Vancouver's TransLink network, you can transfer to a Horseshoe Bay bus from other Translink buses, or the Skytrain / Canada Line.

The Horseshoe Bay buses include:

  • Bus no 250 Vancouver/Horseshoe Bay/Dundarave(250A) - operates from downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay (except buses marked 250A, which terminate in the Dundarave area of West Vancouver)
  • Bus no 257 Vancouver Express/Horseshoe Bay Express - operates from downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay with limited stops along the way
  • Bus no 259 Horseshoe Bay/Lions Bay - operates to/from Lions Bay only

Bus no 257 Vancouver Express/Horseshoe Bay Express is clearly your best bet. Here are a few tips:

  • If you are catching the bus downtown Vancouver, catch it as close to the beginning of its route, so as to find a spot to stuff your luggage and get a seat.
  • The best place to catch the bus is on West Georgia Street at Granville, outside the Bay (this is also your best spot to connect with the Canada Line / Skytrain.
  • The next best stop is on West Georgia Street at Burrard, in front of the Royal Bank.
  • You can also catch the bus in West Vancouver at the Park Royal Shopping Centre, though seats may be harder to find (luckily, many of the locals will get off here).
