Where is Mont Tremblant Airport?  


Mont-Tremblant, a city in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, is most famous for the Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort. The village proper, 13 kilometres (8 miles) from the city, sits at the foot of Mont Tremblant Mountain, a name derived from local Algonquins who referred to it as the "trembling mountain".


Mont Tremblant International Airport (IATA: YTM, ICAO: CYFJ), also called La Macaza Mont Tremblant International Airport, La Macaza Airport, Mont-Tremblant Airport and formerly Rivière Rouge Airport, is a located in the township of La Macaza, about 46 kilometres (29 miles) north of Mont-Tremblant city, Quebec, Canada.


Mont-Tremblant Airport is classified as an airport of entry by NAV CANADA and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency.


Expansion plans are underway to extend the runway to allow larger jets to land), build a larger terminal and adding a water aerodrome (waterside terminal for floatplanes) on the south end of Lac Chaud.


Mont Tremblant Airport is used by Porter Airlines, which operates year round flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) and Montreal Trudeau Airport (YUL).


Porter also operates seasonal flights from Ottawa Airport (YOW) and Newark Liberty Airport (EWR).
