The Frankfurt Airport train is a very efficient way of getting to town or beyond, although the ticket machines may be a bit challenging to figure out. For the S-Bahn into the city, a photo is shown above the ticket machine, and basically you should follow these steps:

  • Select a destination on the list on the machine, and pick out its code.
  • Punch the destination code number in the machine, and select a coloured button below for single adult, child, etc.
  • Pay the amount for the ticket.

Frankfurt Airport Train Rates & Fares

The S-Bahn train from Frankfurt Airport fare is EUR 3.60 with travel time around 12-15 minutes (a day travel card is available for EUR 7.30). Tickets available from the machines.
