The designated cell phone waiting area at KCI Airport is anywhere in Economy Lot A. Tell your friends they can wait for you here, in their vehicle, while you deplane, pick up your luggage and walk out to the curb - then text or call to say you are ready for pick-up. As long as they don't stay longer than 2 hours, there is no charge.
