Mexico City Airport taxis are readily available and provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby Mexico City and other destinations. The Mexico City Airport transfer via taxi to downtown Mexico City will take around 35 minutes, depending on traffic. Official Mexico City Airport taxi cabs, with official logos, should be used at all times to ensure safety and also to avoid being overcharged.

Passengers may obtain pre-paid Benito Juárez Airport taxi tickets from the "Taxi Autorizado" taxi counters in the Transportacion Terrestre (ground transportation) booth in baggage reclaim area at MEX Mexico City International Airport. Authorized Benito Juárez Airport taxis are white and mustard yellow with an aeroplane logo, and travellers are strongly advised to use these and to lock the taxi doors when inside. Regular taxis in town are green or red and white.
