 Disabled Facilities at the LAX Los Angeles Airport


Los Angeles Airport offers comprehensive facilities for disabled travelers in the form of accessibility and assistance. There are elevators near the public stairways and rampways from street to sidewalk level in all terminal buildings;

 

LAX public phones can accommodate wheelchairs and there are also telephones available for the hearing impaired. Restrooms in all terminals have extra-wide toilet stalls with side grip bars and restrooms at Terminal 2 (upper level) and Terminal 6 (lower level) are unisex and disabled-equipped.

 

Wheelchair assistance is provided but you must contact your airline for advance wheelchair reservations. Disabled passengers requiring transport to other LAX terminals can use the free, lift-equipped "A" shuttle service around the Central Terminal Loop. A Special Assistance Vehicle is available to transport passengers with disabilities or special needs between passenger terminals and remote gates and is also available to passengers on stretchers, organ transplant patients, and seniors with specially equipped wheelchairs.
