BFI Boeing Field Airport Info & Guide

Where is Boeing Field Airport?

Boeing Field Airport (IATA: BFI, ICAO: KBFI), officially King County International Airport or simply King County Airport is located in Seattle, King County, Washington, United States. The airport is also frequently referred to as KCIA, but this is not an official code.

The airport is named after William E. Boeing, the founder of the Boeing Company. With aircraft manufacturing and assembly near by, the 2 runways at BFI are frequently used for flight testing. You'll see Air Force One at Boeing Field whenever the American President is in town, preventing disruption at the city's main airport, Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

These activities aside, the airport has some passenger service, but is mostly used by for cargo and general aviation.

Kenmore Air offers flights between Boeing Field and Friday Harbour Airport (FRD), Orcas Island Airport (ESD), Port Angeles Airport (CLM) and Tofino Airport (YAZ).

Tip: The Museum of Flight is located here and exhibits include an ex-British Airways Concorde.
