Washington Tour Ideas

The White House As An Office Walk is an interactive walk and talk with an historical character (a costumed interpreter) who actually worked in the White House. Your host and walk leader is Liz Carpenter, First Lady Lady Bird Johnson's vivacious press secretary. Liz comes with lots of stories about both the West Wing and the East Wing (where the First Lady's staff are located). With her usual sharp-tonged wit, Liz gives you the inside scoop as she guides you around the president's neighborhood.

This is an excellent chance to both see the White House ---- We do not go into the White House or onto the White House grounds --- and learn a bit about what really goes into being President or First Lady.
