Okinawa Naha International Airport

Where is Okinawa Naha Airport?  


The Japanese city of Naha is situated on the East China Sea coast, of the southern part of Okinawa Island. Naha is the capital city of Okinawa Prefecture, and is the political, economic and education centre of the region. 


The city's most famous site, Shuri Castle was once the seat of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Destroyed during World War II, the castle was rebuilt in 1958 and 1992.


Naha International Airport (IATA: OKA, ICAO: ROAH), also referred to as Okinawa Naha International Airport, Okinawa Naha Airport, or simply Naha Airport, is located 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) west of Naha city centre, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The airport is shared with the military.


Japan's Naha Airport (OKA) is not to be confused with the much smaller Naha Airport (NAH) in Indonesia.


On an annual basis, Okinawa Naha Airport serves about 15 million passengers a year.
