Billings Logan Airport

Where is Billings Logan Airport?

10 million years ago, the Yellowstone Valley, where Billings, Montana lies, was underwater. Above rose 150+ metre (500+ foot) cliffs, a prehistoric bench. Today the valley is dry and, above, on top of the Rimrocks (as locals call the cliffs), lies Billings Airport, overlooking the city below.

Billings Logan International Airport (IATA: BIL, ICAO: KBIL) is physically located 4 kilometres northwest of Billings, in Yellowstone County, Montana, United States. It is the busiest airport within the four state region of Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota. In 2011, Billings Airport saw 810,985 passengers.

Billings Logan Airport is served by United Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines and Horizon Air, and is a hub for Silver Airways, which offers non-stop service to throughout Montana. Regularly scheduled flights are offered to Chicago, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Portland, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Billings Airport transfer options are limited: a taxi or rental car are you best options, or chose a hotel with free shuttle service. Details are provided in this guide.
