Where is Hua Lamphong Train Station?  

Hua Lamphong Train Station, officially known as the Bangkok Railway Station, is the main railway station in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the centre of the city in Pathum Wan District, and is operated by the State Railway of Thailand.

There are 14 platforms, 26 ticket booths and two electric display boards. Hua Lamphong serves over 130 trains and approximately 60,000 passengers each day.

Hua Lamphong Train Station has been connected by underground passage to the MRT subway system with a station by the same name.

The station is also a terminus of the Eastern Camp; Orient Express.

SAFETY CAUTION: In July 2013, a Bangkok taxi driver was arrested and charged in the killing of an American passenger over a fare dispute. At this point, few details are available, however IHateTaxis advises extreme caution when taking taxis in Bangkok. 

 

Left Baggage

There is a left baggage office in the front corner of the Hua Lamphong Train Station that is open from 04:00 to 24:00 that charges THB 70 per piece left.  This is useful if you arrive early for your train and wish to wonder around.  Note that they will ask you if you have any food in your luggage, likely due to a rodent problem in the storage area?
