With the opening of Canberra Airport's new terminal, the airport's two wings are joined by The Atrium, featuring a 3-story glass facade with runway and garden views.

 Disabled Facilities at the CBR Canberra Airport


Canberra Airport offers comprehensive facilities for travellers with disabilities and special needs. These include ramps for wheelchair access, lifts / elevators to all terminal floors with lowered control panels in Braille, wheelchar accessable toilet facilities, TTY teletypewriter phones, disabled parking spaces in Canberra Airport's car parking areas - opposite the main airport terminal entrances, lowered car parking pay machines with help buttons, and wheelchairs are also available at Canberra Airport if required.

 

The taxi rank, staffed by taxi commissioners during peak periods can arrange a Wheelchair Accessible Taxi (WAT) upon request, although it may entail a short wait. A pre booked service for a WAT vehicle can be done via a taxi network in advance.
