Kuala Lumpur Airport (KUL) Train & Subway Services

The Kuala Lumpur Airport is accessible by Express Rapid Transit train, KLIA Ekspres Train to KL Central, to/from KL Sentral train station. The Airport station is on level 1 of the terminal and is well sign posted. Trains run every 15-20 minutes between 05:00-01:00. Travel time is around 28 minutes. Note: This train runs non-stop to the city. For intermediate stops, see the Transit train below. 

KLIA Transit Train is a service to supplement the KLIA Express fast train. The KLIA Transit train stops at 3 intermediate stations (Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya, Salak) and runs every 30 minutes between about 05:00-01:00 from the Kuala Lumpur Airport. Transfer time to Putra Jaya 17 minutes. To KL Central 35 minutes.

IMPORTANT: KLIA2, the new low-cost terminal, is located 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from away from the main terminal, or KLIA1. Gateway@klia2, an integrated "airport-within-a-mall" complex, the KLIA2 Terminal to KLIA's Main Terminal Building (MTB).The Gateway@klia2 transportation hub offers connections via the KLIA Express, or Express Rail Link (ERL).

Here are the train details for KLIA2:

• i. KLIA Transit – 39 minutes from KL Sentral (central Kuala Lumpur) 
• ii. KLIA Ekspres – 33 minutes to klia2 
• iii. KLIA to klia2 via KLIA Transit or KLIA Ekspres – 3 minutes on the train inter-terminal
• Inter-terminal ticket can be purchased at the ticket counters at each terminal.

KTM Komuter trains run every 15-30 minutes from KL Central and Kualar Lumpur (old main station) stations to Nilai station, where there is a connecting bus from the station itself to the Kuala Lumpur Airport bus station (ground floor car park). It runs 07:15-22:30 from Kuala Lumpur Airport. This is the cheapest way from KLIA to the city. Important note: InterCity and Express trains do NOT stop at Nilai, which is for suburban trains only.
