Where is Kazan Airport?
Kazan International Airport (Tatar: Qazan Xalıqara Aeroportı, Russian: Международный аэропорт is an airport in Tatarstan, Russia, located 25 km southeast of Kazan. It services medium-sized airliners. The terminal area parks 20 aircraft. The concrete runway is built upon an older, dismantled 3500 m runway.

The airport is often called the new airport, but the main terminal is rather old looking. A new modern business class terminal has been built.

A bus runs every hour from the bus terminal in Kazan to the airport. However this service is not available 24 hours a day.

Until 2004, there was also a second airport, Kazan-2 Airport.

The Kazan airport is fairly basic but does have a hotel and a decent waiting area.

Kazan's city centre is small enough to walk between most places of interest. But you will need to take public transport to get across the river to the north side of town or when you are tired after spending all day on your feet. Buses, trams, trolleybuses and taxi vans are the cheapest and most efficient modes of transport but there is also a small metro and taxis are fairly inexpensive.
