Catching a Montego Bay Airport taxi can be done from outside the Arrivals Hall.

 

The two official Montego Bay Airport taxi companies have a shared desk just outside the MBJ Airport International Arrivals Hall:

An economical alternative is to take a shared "route taxi". When you come out of the international terminal, turn right and walk towards the domestic terminal. Look for the white sedans with red licence plates. Clarify that you do, in fact, want a share - and not hiring the entire taxi (as most tourists dipo). Be sure you have Jamaican currency.

 

You could also walk out to the nearby highway, and flag down a route taxi there.

 

Tip: when it's time to return to the airport, you can catch a route taxi (red license plate) by flagging one down, or go the downtown transportation centre and catch one there).
