AMTRAK runs trains to Bakersfield, much further North, and connects to this service by Bus No 19a and 19b. It stops at the PSP Palm Springs International Airport twice a day in each direction.

 

Southbound it leaves Bakersfield at 12:10 and 16:20 and routes via La Crescenta - Pasadena Hilton - Claremont Metrolink Station - San Bernardino Amtrak - San Bernardino McDonalds - Beaumont Civic Center - calling at PSP airport at 17:25 and 21:35. It then continues south to Palm Desert and Indio (Highway 111 at Monroe) arriving in Indio 54 minutes later.

 

Northbound it departs Indio daily at 06:40 and 11:25, stops at Palm Springs airport at 07:20 and 1205, and arrives at Bakersfield Amtrak at 13:05 and 18:05. The train then connects onto Hanford, Fresno, Merced, Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento and Oakland.

 

The bus stop can be found by exiting the PSP Palm Springs International Airport terminal at the north end (far right) and turning right. It is an approximate 50 metre walk.
