Cline Falls State Scenic Viewpoint sits along the Deschutes River. The 9 acre park is a popular stop for summer recreation. The park's main feature is a large lawn surrounded by Ponderosa Pine and Western Junipers. The park's terrain varies from sagebrush to forest-like. The park is a birdwatcher's paradise: it's home to a wide variety of songbirds including Song Sparrows, Canyon Wren and American Dipper. Golden Eagles and Prairie Falcon also make their home here.

Smith Rock State Park, a world famous rock climbing destination known for its sheer basalt cliffs, is generally recognized to be the birthplace of sport rock climbing in America. There are  miles upon miles of hiking trails. Hiking here makes for excellent vistas within Oregon's Cascade region. The Redmond Caves are a very unique destination. A group of 5 caves, the Redmond Caves are part of the Horse Lava Tube System. With a geological age of around 80,000 years, the caves are a popular spot for tourists.
