TSA Taipei Songshan Airport Info & Guide

Taipei Songshan Airport

Where is Taipei Songshan Airport?

The city of Taipei is often overlooked, but is a safe, bustling and vibrant city. Downtown Taipei City is split into two distinct parts, West and East. The West side, often called old Taipei, and has narrow streets, little shops and roadside vendors. The East is more modern, with upscale restaurants, shopping malls and wide boulevards.

Taipei has an efficient buses and an excellent metro system (both with English signage), and the taxis here are (mostly) honest. Tourists visiting Taipei enjoy riding in the world's 2nd fastest elevators (in Taipei 101, once the world's highest building), shopping in the night markets, and visiting the city's many museums, temples and parks. Others practice tai chi, learn about Buddhism, hike or visit the hot springs.

Taipei Songshan Airport (IATA: TSA, ICAO: RCSS), also known as Songshan Airport, is situated in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan. TSA Airport is also the base of certain Republic of China Air Force units as part of the Songshan Air Force Base.

Taipei Songshan Airport is one of two Taipei airports. The other, Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) (often called Taipei Airport), handles most of the area's international flights. Part of Taipei Songshan Airport's appeal is its location, which is 30 minutes closer to downtown Taipei City than TPE.

Flights from Taipei Songshan Airport are primarily domestic, but also fly to mainland China, Japan and South Korea.
