 Disabled Facilities at the AGP Malaga Airport


Meeting Points are located both inside and outside the terminals (vehicle parking, arrivals forecourt, check-in area), where people with disabilities or reduced mobility can announce their arrival at the airport and request assistance.


The "sin barreras" sign is the one to look out for at Malaga Airport. It means without barriers and is used on all their desks and information points. The information desks and information points are hard to miss as they are bright yellow with large signs. They usually have a few wheelchairs standing by with 2 or 3 staff manning the desks.


In the airport terminal people with reduced mobility are permitted to stay in their own wheelchairs up to the door of the aircraft.


Assistance provided by Malaga Airport include:

  • collection of the passenger at the stipulated Meeting Point
  • assistance with hand luggage
  • accompanying the passenger to the check-in desk and assistance with the check-in
  • accompaniment to the boarding area, passing through the security checkpoints, customs
  • help in boarding the aircraft, and accompanying the person to their seat
