Sabilal Muhtadin Mosque

The Sabilal Muhtadin Mosque is a major landmark. Located along the Martapura riverfront, the mosque was completely built in 1979. Tthe mosque sees thousands of worshippers for Friday prayers.

You can visit a traditional floating marketplace, where buyers and sellers meet each other using boats. Located on the western outskirts of the city, of town, the market is considered one of city's landmarks for years.

In Sunday mornings, people from Banjarmasin have a tradition of walking, running, jogging or cycling towards what is called "Pal Tujuh" (the suburbs). Once there, you can go to the "Pasar Ahad" (Sunday Market) for a warm breakfast of Ketupat Kandangan and Apam (local treats).
