Heathrow Airport Train Details

Heathrow Express offers the fastest journey between Heathrow Airport and central London. Non-stop trains run every 15 minutes and the journey between Heathrow Central and London Paddington takes 15 minutes (a few minutes more for Terminals 4 or 5). Trains run between 05:10 and 23:25 from Paddington, and between 05:07 and 23:42 from Heathrow. Heathrow Express trains stop at Heathrow Central (for Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Heathrow Terminal 5. Passengers using Terminal 4 can transfer free to or from Heathrow Central using the Heathrow Connect shuttle.

 

Heathrow Connect stopping service to London Paddington links the airport with local stations in west London. Modern, air-conditioned trains run every 30 minutes. The journey between Heathrow Central rail station and Paddington takes about 25 minutes (travel to Terminal 4 or 5 takes a few minutes more). Trains call at Heathrow Central (for Terminals 1, 2 and 3) and Heathrow Terminal 4. Passengers travelling via Terminal 5 can use Heathrow Express Trains for a free transfer to or from Heathrow Central.

 

Transfers between airports:

 

Gatwick Airport via central London:


Gatwick Express operates between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport. Victoria can be reached from central London by taxi, bus or the Underground (District, Circle and Victoria lines). Non-stop Gatwick Express trains run every 15 minutes and the journey takes 30 minutes to Gatwick South Terminal. A free transit service Gatwick Express, to the North Terminal stops upstairs from the rail platforms. Use the services listed above to get into central London.


Stansted Airport:


Stansted Express operates trains between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport. Liverpool Street can be reached from central London by taxi, bus or Underground (Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines). Alternatively, avoid central London by connecting with the Stansted Express at Tottenham Hale, which is on the London Underground Victoria line. Trains run every 15 or 30 minutes and the journey takes about 46 minutes.

 

Terminals 1, 2 and 3:
Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect Trains use Heathrow Central station. Underground services use Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 station. Both are in the central area between the terminals, a few minutes' walk from check-in and arrivals.

 

Terminal 4:
The Heathrow Connect and London Underground stations are both conveniently located in the basement of the terminal. Heathrow Express passengers should use Heathrow Connect for a free transfer to Heathrow Central.

 

Terminal 5:
The Terminal 5 rail station, conveniently located in the basement of the terminal, is served by Heathrow Express and London Underground Trains. Heathrow Connect passengers can use Heathrow Express for a free transfer to Heathrow Central.
