RCMP Heritage Centre
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are honoured at the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina. Through the use of permanent and temporary exhibits, multimedia technologies, and extensive programming, the Heritage Centre tells the story of the RCMP, and educates both Canadians and visitors about the RCMP's past, present and future within Canada and abroad. There is a gift shop and e-store.
Tours and special events include:
- Tours of the RCMP Academy's Depot Division are offered daily from May-August
- RCMP Sergeant Major's Parade: a demonstration of the inspection of the troops, followed by a march through the Parade Square or the Drill Hall. RCMP Depot Division. Monday-Friday at 12:50, statuatory holidays excluded, year round.
- RCMP Sunset Retreat Ceremonies: a colourful 45-minute Canadian Flag raising ceremony, featuring the RCMP Cadet Band and Cadet Troops wearing the traditional RCMP scarlet tunic, and uniformed members mounted on horses and carrying lances. RCMP Depot Division. July-August
Saskatchewan Science Centre and Kramer IMAX Theatre
The Saskatchewan Science Centre features 100+ permanent, hands-on exhibits, live stage shows, a climbing wall (one of the tallest in Canada), and an amazing Gyro-Gym.
The Kramer IMAX Theatre is located adjacent to the Science Centre offers one of the most dynamic ways to experience the people, places and principles of science and nature.
Royal Saskatchewan Museum
The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is a natural history museum that describes the province and its features. The museum is home to a half-size robotic T-Rex called "Megamunch".
MacKenzie Art Gallery
The MacKenzie Art Gallery's collection includes 3,800+ artworks including Canadian historical and contemporary works, with a special interest in Western Canadian art. The MacKenzie Art Gallery has been a leader in presenting Aboriginal art, and features works by First Nations artists.
Works at the gallery are classified first according to cultural and geographic provenance, then by medium, and finally by date of execution and artist's name, allowing visitors to observe the evolution of art.
During the summer the gallery is the site for Bazart, an artistic trade show.
