 Boston Logan Airport Taxi Scams

In February 2013, 5 taxi stand workers at Boston Logan Airport were charged with taking bribes for allowing taxi drivers to jump ahead in line. The scheme also steered longer-distance fares to certain drivers.

While this type of activity may not be apparent to the hiring passenger, do be alert to a change in your cab assignment once you reveal your destination. While not necessarily costing passengers more, a ride with a dishonest driver does carry that risk. Regardless, these activities are unfair to honest drivers. You encouraged to report suspicious activity (but not to the taxi stand workers!).
