Honolulu International Airport offers travelers a pleasant break from their travels at several garden sites, including outdoor gardens past security. The Chinese, Hawaiian and Japanese Gardens were designed by Richard C. Tongg, FASLA, in 1962 when Honolulu International Airport was built on this site. The Gardens surround the Main Terminal Lobby and the Y Concourse of the airport. The C. B. Lansing Garden is located on the ground level of the Interisland Terminal near the walkway to the Main Terminal.




 Disabled Facilities at the HNL Honolulu Airport


HNL Honolulu International Airport is wheelchair-accessible and provides elevators and accessible toilets for mobility impaired travellers. Disabled passengers should telephone in advance to make arrangements and inform their airline of any special needs prior to travel. There are parking facilities for disabled travellers in the multi-level airport car park. TDD telephones are available in all terminals and there is a TTY information hotline for hearing impaired travellers.

 

Remember to inform your airline of your requirements well in advance of your scheduled departure (most airlines suggest 48 hours). It is always advisable for disabled travellers to inquire about any special requirements prior to arriving at HNL Honolulu International Airport.
