 Disabled Facilities at the ARN Arlanda Airport

Arlanda Airport offers comprehensive facilities for disabled travellers.


There are Arlanda Airport parking spaces in every multi-story car park for people with disabilities and have disabled parking permits.Short-term parking has designated parking spaces with free parking for a maximum of three hours (permit must always be visable). For long-term parking, you pay the same price as for the long-term car park Arlanda Långtid Beta (except in the SkyCity garage where you pay the regular price). Take the following steps when you park:

  • Drive up to the barrier
  • Contact customer services using the intercom
  • Follow the instructions provided and take the parking slip
  • Park your car in a designated space
  • Take your parking slip with you
  • Pay at the self-service payment machine


According to European Union (EU) regulations, people with reduced mobility are entitled to escort services if the booking has taken place at least 48 hours before stated departure time. If the booking has not taken place within this time frame, you still receive help at the airport although the personnel may not be able to provide exactly the service desired. Book escort services if you:


  • need special service to get to and from the airport, and for boarding
  • use portable oxygen equipment
  • are wheelchair bound and use a wheelchair or electric/battery-powered wheelchair
  • have imparied vision or hearing, and need direct information
  • are accompanied by a guide dog

A pick-up point/meeting point is a place outside or inside the airport building where passengers with reduced mobility can notify of their arrival at the airport, and request an escort. You are then helped from the pick-up point or check-in hall to the gate, and on board the aircraft to your seat.


As well, Arlanda Airport offers wheelchair access is available throughout all terminals, as well as specially equipped toilets and telephones.


Remember to inform your airline of your requirements well in advance of your scheduled departure (most airlines suggest 48 hours). It is always advisable for disabled travellers to inquire about any special requirements prior to arriving at Arlanda Airport.
